Gwennap Pit Wedding
June 20th. Gwennap Pit and then over to 45 Queen Street. India & Ross’s inquiry came in for their wedding over a year before, off the back of a recommendation from India’s dad, who saw some of my images on Universal Works (what a dream)! Just that alone was enough to excite me.
My grandparents lived a 10-minute walk from Gwennap Pit, so it’s an area I know incredibly well. I got walked there most weekends as a kid, conveniently finding enough coins nestled under freshly fallen leaves to spend at the corner shop next to their house. Spoiler alert: my grandparents planted that cash for me to find. I'm also well versed with the food at 45 Queen Street, so I knew exactly what a treat we were in for with a wedding at both spots.

For their Gwennap Pit wedding ceremony, the mood just felt like it should be documented on film rather than digital. So that’s exactly what I did, shooting 9 rolls of film throughout the day.
When the film scans came back from the lab, I couldn't wait to sift through them and start editing this 45 Queen Street wedding. They looked unreal. I like to think my style is very relaxed, and while shooting on film in particular, I am always striving for that 35mm point-and-shoot effortlessness which makes the photos feel more honest. Looking at them now, they just feel exactly like being back there.
The final gallery is a collection I'm massively proud of!
